What are some examples of singles in the genre where some unreleased alternate take has been better than the actual released version?

I'm thinking of the Cirkit's "Yesterday We Laughed"...any others?

Something that comes to my mind would be the song: "Even Though It's Wrong" by Micheal, Troy & The Pharoahs. This song was included on Lost Souls Vol. 1. According to the liners, the version on that comp was sourced from an acetate.

The same song was released as a 45 on the (Integrity) label, which I'm guessing the compiler had no knowledge of when he was putting that thing together. In my opinion the 45 version sounds FAR BETTER than the boring one on that comp:cool:
