Regardless of politics, please! (coming from a guy who has a Master in Political Science :%:) - I have read that this (tragic) Al-Qaeda connection with the Pearlman family has had influence on the fact that Pearlman's old releases could not get a proper re-release because the royalties would be withheld for national security reasons. (I've no way of knowing if that would actually happen or not).

Do you think that this has any impact of this at all, or is it perhaps just because of all the counterfeit reissues? I've read that the label Woodsist spent years in vain trying to get the rights to all the Pearlman stuff, but without any success. Or perhaps he is just not interested? It would be great with some proper re-releases of his great work.

Imagining that an official Beat of the Earth reissue would fund homeland security is something to chew around in your head. But I would guess that Pearlman senior also realised that a reissue would never get him as much cash as the boxes of "original" Electronic Hole LPs he still appears to have and the couple of Relatively Clean River LPs he sells to dealers on January 1st of each year.

I'll gladly trade him 72 virgins for a copy of each:yikes:
