Tim (who I added on Facebook) seems to be restoring this fine series for a re-release.
He is de-clicking, de-noising, re-scanning and re-writing and I don't know what more. He's busy.

So what I'm wondering is (since I don't want to be a pestilence to the guy by sending him demented PM's over FB) - what will be new?

Is this strictly a vinyl-operation? (I'm a cd-kinda fella - soorryyy).
Or will it be available on CD as well? And will Tim do something about those CD's since tracks and shit is missing (it bugs lil' ole customer me).
I need to have The Werps on CD, ok? I just need it!

And will there be a BFTG vol. 9?
And if so - as ancient astronaut theorists believe - will it be released this millennia?

62 views and not one word of information. Curses!

While I am FB friends with Tim and I have seen a few posts from him mentioning a remastering of one (or more?) BFTG's, at this point I think it is something still in the planning stages. If I learn anything more definite I will be sure to update.

Ok, I sent Tim a pm, just hope he has it in his heart to answer it. I can keep interested parties informed if you like.

says Tim:
"re-done BFTGs: argh, KICKING myself that i didn't re-master the Vol ONE cos the NEW and updated gatefold sleeve really deserved a re-master - but NEXT time!
FOUR: fully re-mastered, ditched Sonics "Santa Claus" and "Night Of The Sadist"
SEVEN: fully re-mastered, ditched Spiders "No Price Tag" and Moguls "Ski Bum".
next is Grave 6 - probly ditching Werps cos it ALWAYS bothered me!"

He also told me about the hassle of trying to put a ninth volume together. Music should be public domain after 40 years..

Did he say when they would be available?

Man, it'd be fucking awesome if a ninth volume ever came to fruition. But, from the sign of things, I'll be in MY grave before anything like that ever happens. :(

Second that but everything is possible and if I am correct Swyne, sound recordings published in the US, fixed prior to 15 Feb 1972, are subject to state statutory and/or common law protection, and will enter public domain in 15 Feb. 2067! According to here.
