ALI COOP & THE BOYS

Do folks on here apart from JoeyD and Eargasm actually like this?

It took me 3 minutes to hit the stop button. It would have normally taken me less than 30 seconds before I'd have had enough of overblown pompous 70s tripe like this but I hung out for more after Alice kicked that ball into the crowd (like a girl I may add) hoping it would get better....maybe it did after 3 minutes.
I'll stick with The Spiders.

it would and it did...it's from 1969...and turning it off at 3 minutes is like turning off the GODFATHER at 30 minutes.;) Of course Pauli's Bourbon and my Tequila didn't hurt:confused:

Pretty crazy shit. Thanks, Joey!

The tune, what little of it there actually is, sounds like "Don't Blow Your Mind." Alice Cooper - The Group of the Future.

7 IS THE NUMBER OF MAN BABY!!! The 1st part is DON'T BLOW YOUR MIND. expo must not have caught that.;)

I did but like I said The Spiders version is THEE BEST - R.I.P. Vince - not some make-up dudes in platform shoes. Obscene 70s Rock, light years away from 60s garage and it just ain't my bag. But I suppose for 70s hippies like you guys it's the dog's nuts.

I figured he didn't catch that either, Joey! Anything Alice up to Muscle of Love is still on 24 hour call at this house...

I can definitely ride for Pretties For You, one of the very few US albums to boast Syd-era Pink Floyd vibe. Love It To Death and Killer also see a lot of turntable action round these parts.

Love It To Death. Muscle of Love and Killer stand up against anything the Stooges or MC5 ever did, and completely blow away The New York Dolls..

Have a coupla stiff ones and watch it again and then talk ta me. If you don't get it then...you never will...THIS SHIT IS FUCKING INSANE and has to be one of the greatest live moments....EVER!!!

PS...Pauli, FUNHOUSE is still the one beat;) But LOVE IT TO DEATH, KILLER, MUSCLE OF LOVE are right there.:D

Having long hair does not make a hippy. The COOPER'S were far from hippies. They hated peace and love bullshit so did my friends and I in the 7ts. We were all long hairs but we worshipped MC5, STOOGES, DOLLS, THIN LIZZY etc. WE HATED HIPPIES and everything they stood for. I still hate hippies since most of them are now running our country into the ground;)

i pre ordered that one, too!! As Alice said, they intended to drive a stake through the heart of the love generation!

I always felt a certain sympathy for Alice Cooper. Maybe because I used to watch the Muppet Show when I was a kid.
Please watch him drive a stake through the heart of the love generation (oh my dear!):
