Allusions on Marianna

It's ok. Sort of blue eyed soul sound, with an uptempo march style beat like the Four Tops "I Can't Help Myself" speeded up a bit. Strong vocal similar to the top side. Not very original, but pleasant enough.

Thanks for the info Mark! Might you have audio of it available?

I’m not sure I want to splurge $300 on the lone copy available on eBay that is merely in decent condition to hear it ;)

My audio system is currently in mothballs, but when I get it back up and running, I will record it for you. I can tell you, it is not worth spending much at all to hear the flipside, unless you're really keen to hear garage bands attempt lukewarm soul ripoffs. The bassline is nicked wholesale from "Sugar Pie Honey Bunch". The "3" (out of 10) rating given in Teenbeat Mayhem should give you a good idea.

Cool, and thanks for the feedback! I have been wanting to hear it, regardless of quality ever since I heard the a-side, and I also found the other Lou Martucci/Preludes record on Little Nashville.
