Anis Es was a Malaysian singer-songwriter. I've got five EPs by him. On four of them he is backed by Orkes PIB from Muar in Johore Baru. Most of his songs are about personal and social issues and come across as rather serious, although often with some rollicking Malay garage band music as the backing.
'Hey, Hey' is a bit uncharacteristic in its more familiar yet simple 60s Western-style music. The lyrics and presentation are also more flippant. The song is basically asking the person addressed to tell the singer what they want - should he wait for her or not, should he come to her or not. It's all a bit of fun! And it's got some nice fuzz guitar as well!
