Another new sound system

I added 2 more painted layers to the Black Wand today. That makes about 10 layers (I lost exact count). Just confirming that every new layer gives as much improvement as the first layer. The bass impact has now become absolutely insane, on the right recordings. But it's not just the bass, it's absolutely everything that gets improved. It's at the stage now where the entire room, all 4 walls and ceiling, sound like they are part of the stereo (on the right recordings, and at the right hours of the day), I have never heard anything like it, needless to say.

Here's a picture of the Black Wand I took just now, drying on the balcony after getting yet another new coat of STB Black. You can still see the ribs of the coil. The total thickness of the 10+ STB layers would probably be only about 5mm. I imagine I could keep adding layers for quite awhile...

I wonder if adding more coils in between the layers of STB [sic] would be of more benefit.
I don't know. I've never tried. At the moment there seems little point trying anything different when the extra layers are doing what they are doing. Which is indescribable. It's almost unbearable being the only person on Earth who has experienced this. It's mad.

when you receive your sample pack, imagine multiplying the effect you get by at least 100 times. That's what the Black Wand does.

You're tryin' to mess my mind! - Dr. SBT Spec

I can guarantee you Daniel, with every bone in my body - the Black Wand will mess your mind. And the mind of anyone else who hears it. I've just been playing "regular" rock music, just to see what it's like. The Black Wand eats it for breakfast. The dynamics in some records (Spotify) I played actually blasted my face and burnt off my hair.

(I should have mentioned I added a total of 5 layers to the Black Wand today. It now has at least 12 layers).

Another 2 layers this morning. Same deal, it just gets better and seemingly "more better" with each new layer. I guess each layer actually uses more STB serum, because the wand keeps getting fatter.

There's a fine line between good grammar and insanity. It might be time to move onto the kitchen hi-fi :boggle:

Too late. I just added a third layer for the day. The Black Wand now has 15+ layers. Each layer including the last one I just added, is more incredible than the last. I would not be saying this if it wasn't true. Obviously. I feel happy that everyone here will eventually find out about this and have it installed in their own house in one way or another. It's just a matter of time. But I wish I knew how this could possibly be happening. And why me?

I'm beyond freaked out by what I heard at tonight's listening session after adding a total of 5 layers - three to the Black Wand and two to the Gold Wand. At 6 PM it was sensational, amazing and ultra dynamic. But now at 9PM it's just beyond belief. All the qualitites it had at 6PM are still present, only better. In addition, there is twice as much fine detail in most records, than I have ever heard before. Even yesterday. :boggle::boggle::boggle::boggle::boggle:

This detail will not be heard on flacs. The only way you can hear it is with a Black Wand. Actually you need 3 wands to hear this level of detail. Probably one big, fat wand would do it! In fact, I'm playing streamed music, not flacs. So it has nothing to do with flacs at all, even if they are made with a hundred wands, you don't hear it without your own wands. By the way I'm not talking about detail you have to strain to hear. It's in your face.

The Black Wand is the Philosopher's Stone of audio.

You must surely have noticed a big improvement in the kitchen turntable hi-fi, as it would also be being fed by the SBTeed distribution board?

Oh yes. It's a lot better. But there's a limit to what a Marshall mid-fi cabinet can achieve. I've seen inside the box, and it's low-quality computer grade components inside. It's junk really (but fun and convenient).

One thing I am now noticing - realistic volume is now a requisite for achieving realistic sound. The realism brought to the sound by the Black Wand is so extreme, that insufficient volume, or too much volume, becomes an important factor in the overall perception of realism. In other words, once you are aware that ultra-realism is within reach, you start noticing any factor that detracts from it. Because each instrument has depth, you know how far away it is, and how loud it should be at that distance. If the volume doesn't match that expectation, the illusion of realism is shattered, or at least impaired.

I have a feeling you may reach a level where you can actually feel and taste the sounds.

I had a brainwave ths morning, as soon as I awoke. It regards a possible explanation for how the Black and Gold Wands might work. It is not for sure, but I have a strong hunch it may be true. Unfortunately I don't really know how these thisngs work but...

I wonder if the magnetic field created by the wand collects unwanted radiation from the area around the wand, and pulls (bends) it into the wand whare it is absorbed? Here is the theory :

The materials in the wand are designed to absorb radiation, but without a wand, they can only absorb radiation which happens to directly hit the material. The more layers on the wand, the more absorbing power. But the coil does the work of collecting or bending the radiation into the wand according to the magnetic field it creates when plugged into the AC.

This may be total BS for all I know. But it seems so logical...I wonder if a magnetic field can bend radiation that happens to pass into the field? Any scientists out there?

Here is Google's answer.

yes, as light is electromagnetic wave therefore it can be deviated from its straight path by applying highly non uniform magnetic field.

But I have found other opinions that differ..
