Another new sound system

The modem should be connected to the NBN connection device via a cable; therefore, it doesn't communicate via radio signal. That being he case, feel free to completely cover it in magic tape (leaving the heat dispersion holes unobstructed).

Ah! Great! I will. But I won't really be able to leave many airholes. No matter. If it blows up, I'll call NBN and blame them.

Thanks. I'm not too worried about it over-heating. I'm sure the STB will do a good job of dissipating any excess.
Doing that box with one STB sheet, had more effect than the Black Wand (when the wand was not connected to the graphene).

I've just been thinking about that piece of STB that I put on the NBN box. It was a special piece. I made it with the last of the B Component, and it was also a triple layer (but all the same mix on each layer). Also, it contained one of the materials I usually only use on the 2-layer tape like STB Black in the Sample Packs, on the white layer. But this time I mixed it into the Platinum mixture, and painted it onto the tape 3 times. So it's a very special piece of tape, that I will be investigating and no doubt I will make some more of it when the B component arrives from China on Monday.

So please be aware that the STB Black in the Sample Packs may not be as powerful as that special piece.

Yeah. I'm now wondering if that special piece of tape (which until now was just propped up behind the NBN box), is the reason or one of the reasons that things have been getting mysteriously better without my doing anything.

It has a lot of the B Component in it, and 3 layers of it.

Having seen improvements with the first two applications of SBT Black, I saw no reason to restrain myself from a third application. The difference it made was perhaps more subtle than the first two, but once again the emphasis was different. This time I returned to the high voltage end, but also added a little more to the low voltage system. The most noticeable improvement was in an opening up of the highs with a consequent improvement in the airiness of the music. There was a balancing and extension of the frequencies and a notable increase in dynamism with a somewhat punchier bass. I now value my active speakers at around $2,500 (up from the $800 purchase price). Where do I send the $1,700 cheque?

Are you finding that applying the STB is easy? And does it stay in place once you wrap it (assuming you are wrapping it)? Are you using anything to hold it in place?

No need to send any cash. I'm setting up a slave labour camp in the bunker in the next few months. You can work off the debt in my camp.:smyle:
I'll work for free as long as you provide a cot, a hunk of bread and some water 3x a day so I can get the fuck outta (California) They just banned gas lawn mowers, leaf blowers and generators among other things. WHAT THE FUCKKKK!!!:flush::boggle:

It appears to stick quite well to plastic and metal, but not to itself. Not wanting to leave anything to chance, however, where I have wrapped it around cables, I overlay it with duct tape, even if the SBT Black isn't overlaying itself. I should mention that I clean any surfaces to which I intend to adhere the STB Black with isopropyl alcohol.

You'd be jumping from the frying pan into the fire; however, political discussion is strictly verboten on g45 due to its ultimately divisive nature!

In a moment of idle optimism this morning, I added a little more SBT Black (thick) to the outer casing of the laptop. It wasn't a lot - maybe three-fifths of a square - but it was enough to strengthen the blacks (reduce distortion), add more zing to the strings, and improve the clarity of low volume playback. New value: $2,700.

I cut out the bits from Mr. Frantic's post that I thought contravened the rule. I hope everyone knows how much I hate doing that, regardless of who wrote what. We never had to do that for 20 years. Now we have to. It pisses me off, but it's better than having people secretly or openly hating each other over dumb politics. No need to extend the discussion on this, let's just get straight back to fun.
