From the blog post, I read that Chuck formed his own Shags in Peoria. He enrolled at Notre Dame University and joined the existing Shaggs (2 G's) when their lead singer. This is the group that recorded the two songs for the acetate.
Chuck didn't rejoin the Peoria group that isssued a pair of 45s in 1967.
