Since we're doing polls on the new BFTG's, I can go back and satisfy my curiosity. What's considered the best/favorite track on the first Grave?
I'm consolidating the two part of the Rats. I'm leaving out The Witch since it's not from the 60s. If anyone wants to write it in, that's cool.

Very difficult for me to choose between the Alarm Clocks and Bel-Aires. I'll have to stick with logic and common sense and say the Alarm Clocks. But I had to force my hand to follow my brain's command.

Sybil Factor.
Multiple votes allowed, up to 3. I don't recall if the other BFTG's have that, but the Remain polls did.
I couldn't choose between Swamp Rats, Cords and Bel-Aires. But then again, I could have added 3 or 4 more to the list.

Back in the 70s and 80s, when I would get a new Garage Comp, I would rate all the songs from 1 to 10 and place that info on a sticker on the back of the comp. From 38 years ago, the JuJus - "Do you Understand Me" got a 9 and was the highest rating. So, I voted for it. Today, the Elite - "My Confusion" gets my highest rating. Tomorrow, it might be the Alarm Clocks.

This is sort of similar to how I did things. Garage comps were never available at my local record store, and so the owner would let me look through the catalogue and I'd place an order. I'd order $75.00 at a time but it would usually end up being about $50.00 worth (typically 1/3 would be out of stock).

I'd then pick up a 90 min blank cassette (or two if the comps didn't have a lot of filler) and start with the cream of the crop, then the avg stuff and then by the end of the tape, anything that was worth repeated listens.
