Bert Jansch dies

I'm sorry to hear this. I saw him perform an outstanding set in Brooklyn last December. I wasn't aware he had had been fighting lung cancer.
 
devastated! one of the greatest next to fahey. some of those early transatlantic LPs are simply sublime. i was still hoping to be able to make up for the stupidity NOT to attend his show about 10 years ago 200m from my door...

Geeziz! Very influential player for sure. Guess he'll be up yonder jammin' with Davy and Django etc. Those Transatlantic LPs are all greats! Plus Pentangle was often mind-expanding. Remember the cigs on the cover of the Bert & John one, glad I quit a dozen years ago now...
