Better than the Beatles?

In your opinion is it possible to interpret a Beatles song better than the Beatles themselves?

My choice falls on "What You're Doing" by the Fantastic Dee-Jays.

I dig Kathy McCord's 1969 cover of "She's Leaving Home" from her CTI album. It makes a lot more sense when sung
from the daughter's point of view as "I'm Leaving Home" than from her parent's butt-hurt perspective. Less cloying
strings too. The Score's 1966 Decca cover of "Please Please Me" isn't as desperate as The Beatles' #1 hit version, but it
works well as a spacey, stoned 'Small Faces' arrangement with a funky bass and a raga guitar riff instead of the harmonica.

Some of the Singapore and Hong Kong Chinese language versions of their early stuff is fun, or torturous! Nancy Sit's Day Tripper in English is okay
