BFTG 9, 10 and 11(!)

I didn't think it would. But why won't it? Shouldn't be too much of a hustle to make it available. And even tho vinyl is picking up (which we all love), tit would be more logical to sell it over iTunes and the like instead of the dying media CD.
I've been moving a lot lately and have stowed and sold away the lions part of my collection. What I have now is a hard drive.
I would love to be able to shop my music through iTunes but there's really nothing there. Why is that?
That is just crazy!

!

Can't you just pop a cd into the pc? You'd get the added bonus of a booklet. Pardon my ignorance, but is downloads from iTunes including pdf's of liner notes?

I have a mac air hence no cd-drive. It's a hassle. And yeah, I'd miss out on the liners, don't think they've worked out that part yet. Then again, the collected liners of all BFTG's deserves to be collected in a little book. Which - of course - should be able to d-load from iTunes.
Hey Mike, Tim and company! Get with the times, gramps!!

I prefer a cd or vinyl cos you get the liners but here in oz on iTunes you can get comps by Norton, sundazed and comp reissues by the Past and Present label- Off the Wall,AcidDreams,Pscych. Disaster Whirl,etc...I think it's all to do with licensing and what country you live in. If it's all about the music why knock it?

Hardly, sadly. Spotify and it seems, iTunes, have a lot of bootleg comps.

I'm sure the way that Tim feels (as do I) is that if you want the comps, you will buy the CD or the vinyl.
Just because people have become tethered 24/7 to technology does not mean everybody has to follow along.
I certainly do not.
I'm sure some a-hole will quickly post everything on one of those freebie blogs anyway.

This awesome sucker landed @ my place today. The finished product is absolutely fabulous, the booklets are superb, but it is the sound on the disc that is astonishing. I had heard all the rough recordings some time back but the finished product if the real deal. This comp is nothing short of brilliant ! It takes a lot to move an old jaded fool like me, but I am astonished with this set of sides.

Tim will always belong with select company when it comes to wading through the so-so tripe & focusing on the pure essence of the great stuff. There are only a few guys who have done work on this same level - Leonard Feather, Harry Smith & Guy Stevens come to mind.

Time to get back to round two, now that the Mullard 12AX7s have warmed up - Damn, start to finish this thing is fucking IT !

I just got my CD in the mail from Germany. Ordered directly from Crypt. Haven't even played it yet but it looks so goddamn beautiful I can hardly stand it. This thing is a work of art, a true rarity in the Spotify age. I can't think of any other CD I've ever bought that contains TWO multi-page booklet inserts! It's abundantly clear that this was put together with a lot of love. I can't wait to blast it.

If the bickering here is over sound quality, these new transfers of some "old friends" sound sterling !
Entended top end, open transparent midrange & rock solid deep bottom end. Tough to beat the Helikon, NAIM, Lynn, Kimber cable, Krell set up Mr. Warren used for these 45s.

I seriously doubt anyone will not be shocked at how good these sides sound. Thee best sound of any transfers of this stuff short of owning origionals & dropping $10,000 plus on a top quality front end hifi rig.

I totally agree. Tim realized great results with his mobile rig.

In the interest of full disclosure the analog chain utilized on Raevins & Expressions was as follows:

Avid Acutus TT --> Graham Phantom II tonearm--> Lyra Titan mono cartridge --> Kimber custom phono cable --> Manley Steelhead tube phono pre-amp --> out to TW's proprietary skunk tweaked black box.:yikes:

Care to reveal what brand & vintage the tubes are in that Manley ? Are they standard 12ax7s, au7s and at7s ?

Are the track line-ups identical for CD and vinyl issues? I went CD on all the previous volumes (except the first), and am afraid I missed a few songs...
