Bob Bennett has passed away

Gutted by the news that Bob Bennett of the Sonics passed away a couple of days ago.

He has forever shaped the way I want drums to sound. And how I want the drums to be played.

The great fills in Psycho, Boss Hoss, the tough, loud, warhorse playing on He's Waiting, The Witch of Do You Love Me has been etched into my system since the first time I heard the Sonics.

In times of sappy, lifeless and soulless computer generated sample drums, his legacy might be even greater.

I'll be forever in debt of his achievements in rock music.
