Not strictly garage and a bit of a long shot, but I wonder if anybody might be able to shed some light on a release on Burdette.

How would a PNW label releasing mostly regional artists, including The Sonics, come to release this UK Pop-Psych 45? This was released in the UK by Pye Records. I've written at length about Onyx and am in touch with most people associated with the band, but nobody can recall how this US release would have come about. Most didn't even know it was released. Were there any links between Burdette/Jerry Dennon and Pye?

Yes, Jerry Dennon had an agreement with Pye. Several Pye releases also came out on Jerden in the US. Burdette was Dennon's middle name.

Yes, Jerry Dennon had an agreement with Pye. Several Pye releases also came out on Jerden in the US. Burdette was Dennon's middle name.

Thanks Rich, I knew there must be a simple explanation! A slightly strange choice though given all the other 45s he had to pick from
