Does anyone know if this was a studio outfit or an actual band? Been searching and only found out that they supposedly were from LA, but nothing has ever been confirmed.

No one has been able to turn up anything on the group. I found the publishing crew years ago and came up with zilch-o. Garagehangover has an entry on the group so someone may come forward in the future.
I have a copy of the 45, always bugged me that "X + Y = 13" was mastered with a lower volume output, much more noticeable than the A side.

So it could be either? I've always fantasized that it was a group of 17-19 year old guys, recording in the garage. With Mr. T. Jones pissed off as hell.

I was more then happy to get my copy of the single about 9 years ago, not many have turned up on the bay or on the auction lists I get since...

Haha, now I feel ashamed! One of those guys who everyone knows who he is, but I don't? (Since I' a newbie here, could you spare me the yelling part? :D)

Nah, there's plenty of big shot's hereabouts, but, times being what they were, I no longer count myself amongst them. Hasn't stifled my style, though... If in fact I had any to be stifled in the second place...

I agree with MTM, still a rare single, the fact that there are 25 or so copies known in this case does not really matter as many people want it, IT IS GREAT !!!
Some of the rarer singles (ie - only one or 2 copies known) are not in a high demand like The Caretakers single...
I payed $825 for my VG+/VG copy 6 years ago.

Just one more question! Is there two different colors on record or am I going a bit colorblind?
