$24 is for overseas shipping. Which should be $12. I think that's a mistake.$24 for shipping? Where are you getting that figure?
It says $2.98 shipping for me...

registered mail is a joke, it costs more, it's slow, and only tracks the package to the country, not to the door of the buyer. Anything over $250 has to be sent by Express Mail Intl. It is the ONLY method that offers on line tracking and signature confirmation. It is probably a mistake, but my experience lately is that US sellers are getting more and more reluctant to ship worldwide. And if they do you have to really bleed for it. Just paid $40 in shipping for a 45. He agreed it was a little bit steep and offered to refund $12 (it ended on $28 for registered) if I left positive feedback. He was, after all, a Christian.

The only thing "off" about the record listed is that the Acropolis logo is different than what was used on the Soothsayers' second release. That's probably irrelevant, though. Is this definitely a 60's pressed record??? I had my doubts from just looking at photos and now I am holding 2 copies and I'm still not convinced...
I wonder if this is an actual quantity find, or a reprinting...what does it say in the deadwax?
I have a copy from before the quantity find and later bought one from the find . If I remember right the deadwax and label looked the same . The paper quality of the sleeve was different and the top opening of my first copy has a slightly rounded cut while the other one has a square cut . My impression is that someone found a huge quantity without sleeves and had the sleeves printed to make it easier to sell them .

I've posted this before, but in the store's basement during the 80s/90s, there were at least 1000 unplayed copies of the 1st Soothsayers 45, and they all had picture sleeves. Price back then was $20. No need for a bootleg pressing.
As for the differences in the sleeves, I had an autographed copy which had the straight cut. I think it is just the way the sleeves were cut from the printer during the process. Since they were not printed by a company that specialized in working in the record industry, the local print shop handled the order.
Which reminds me, I think Mark P told me the reason the 2nd Soothsayers sleeve is so rare is that the bulk of them got water damaged back in the day.

I don't get it. It didn't sell for $4.99 then it didn't sell for $5.99. Why raise it to $9.99? Am I missing somthing?Great price for a real moody gem!
