That's what was happening to me way back when I used to put up transfers from old 45s on my blog; someone told me it's record dealers who are behind getting that kind of stuff removed as it cuts into their sales of obscure vinyl.

It's a shame that there are so many complaints about copyright infringement, so much of this music would be essentially lost except to serious collectors if everyone stopped posting sound files. I've heard all of the arguments for and against posting sound files, but it is still my opinion that the positives for posting them far outweigh the negatives in spite of the copyright issues some bring up. One of my old bands 45 would likely be rarely heard except for it's sound file being on the internet, that's why the drummer and myself told the site owner that we wanted him to post the files.

Clyde, I'm with you and want people to hear our music. That's why we recorded it in the first place. I found that you don't make squat off of record sales, you make money because it's heard. I know that some music authors are very protective regarding their music. I guess I can't argue with them over what's rightfully theirs. I'm not saying I agree with such an artist, but it is their choice.
