How rare? I saw one on eBay, put it didn't have any pictures at all. Maybe I could contact the seller.

If you are talking Craigmoerer's copy, I do not see him mentioning the Picture Sleeve in that auction's description...Which is a good chunk of the $$$ in my mind... without it, I would think this more in the $30 range.. If his $150 Buy It Now copy has the picture sleeve, I would say hop on it....

Yeah, I want to say I once saw this record sell with the pic sleeve on ebay for somewhere in the $100-$150 range. The sleeve is rare as heck these days and definitely would constitute a good part of the value.

Yes, you put up "1 To 3", the better side. Though the live version (?) found on Vulcan Gas is more superior, I believe the Charlie Prichard did the lead on that one.

Aren't the versions on the Vulcan Gas LP the same versions as on the 45, except that they edited it a bit for the 45? Anyway, I used to have this with PS and sold it for $125 or so back in the 1990s... it's a cool artefact with a certain legend factor, but doesn't really carry the Dirty Fithy Mud punch you want on a local hippie psych 45.

To MY knowledge, they aren't the same. Both were recorded at Vulcan Gas, but the 45 version is more "cleaner" and like you pointed out, edited. The eBay auction was without a PS. Unfortunately.

What does? That 'Mud' record is capital-F fried. The best Austin "hippie" record is the Shiva's Headband 45 on Ignite. It's manages to be both garage-y and psychedelic without having even an iota of rock & roll energy or teenbeat aggressiveness. Lethargic hippies! The Conqueroo were like Blue Cheer compared to Spenser & Co.

The version on Ignite is far more superior to the one that they released on the album. Pretty tame one acutally.
