I cant believe some person or persons paid so much for the dirty words and the puddin heads 45s that ended on ebay yesterday.are these people completely insane!!!!
I think price paid dont mean nearly as much as it used to because of these consignment dealers.how are these prices actual value when people bid on their own 45s or have people bid on their 45s.also other people have the 45 and bid a record up so they can sell their copy for an insane price.sorry,I think this is not actual value at all!!

Shill bidding is definitely a 'dick move'...but it DOES inflate prices at least temporarily. I've never tried that, but I'm not really a speculator or 'investor'. (my record collection is 97% stuff that I'll play and enjoy). I got rid of most my lamer high-dollar 45s and meh 'dj spins' before the
COVID plandemic hit. Really glad I did it before the 'revenoors' started getting serious about penalizing online sellers.

Some crazy prices at the Austin Record Show last weekend...but overall there were bargains to be had.
As usual, most of the real ''heavies' changed hands before the actual event got underway.
