Debris vol.3

PS. is that the same Changin' Times of Aladin / Goin' lovin' with you + Young and innocent girl (comp'd on US Garage Greats) and Thank you babe / Pied Piper (on Turds on a Bum Ride # 5 + 6)....?

No, this group was from NY. no connection to any other group with the same name.

The different Changin Times on Philips were studio musician guys with songwriters Steve Duboff and Artie Kornfeld out front as the duo vocalists

.. as usual, just ask MTM.... incredible.. a living Encyclopedia of Garage...

thx for the info, Mike and best greetings from Italia!

Absolutely!! In the short time I've been around this site, MTM seems to almost always have an answer. I used to do pretty well with '70s and early '80s stuff as far as groups, labels, who wrote the song, but nothing like MTM's computer bank of a brain. And since I'm probably down to three functioning brain cells these days (just kidding), I don't know much of anything.

Hello folks

Just passin' thru to once again drop the bomb that is Debris!

Here's the artwork I did for it. A few known 'nugs' of course, but a few non-comp as well!

There's also a booklet attached with a few cheap liners :p I welcome any corrections!

To anyone who contributed in any way, I thank you inside ;)

Thanks for listening my friends.

Hi Mario,

number 12 most probably's the best volume yet... classical garage, many unheard tracks that are in good company with the few sounds that have appeared somewere else before, great job again, hugh thanks for more precious moments of good fun.....

also, I think your liner notes (and pics) do add something important to the whole set...

waiting for #13..
best greetings

Hello fanatics

It's time once again to explore the diverse world that is Debris!

Inside are 21 tracks, with most of them never being compiled before, at least to my knowledge. Of course, there will be the usual roadblocks that will make you wonder, "What the heck are these doing on a garage comp!?"

The debris project does what others aren't brave enough to do, and that is feature the darker side of the garage scene. Tracks like "Where Did I Fail" by The Children: the group who was made famous by the great Pebbles series with "I Can Feel It", is the stuff that will make serious collectors cringe. But hey, you knew what you were getting yourself into when you grabbed this badboy ;)

Volume 13 also features a few double-siders as well with: "The Sertified Sound" and "The Fabulous Five Satans". A few instrumentals also pop up on occasion. The great "I'm A Tiger" also makes an appearance, and proves to be my personal favorite. "Chiquita" on the (Cha Cha) label who was featured on the very 1st debris makes a return for this one as well.

Thanks for listening my friends. Stay tuned for more crap later on. Have fun and enjoy life!

And now...
Debris would like to thank the following folks for their generous contributions.

"Westex" for proving the track "I'm A Tiger"

and
"soundog iii" for sending me the song "Where Did I Fail", even though he probably doesn't remember doing so. Please excuse the hissing in the intro. It goes away somewhere at the :15 second mark.

Thanks guys!

Mario.

Thanks Swyne, another entertaining set.
I think the Children track is brilliant - a bit Left Banke-ish.
The number one turd this time is "Peter Pan". Unbelievably bad, and not even in a funny way.
Anyways, thanks for sharing!

Hi Mario,

I agree with pfft (just can't stand C&W and alike) and I don't like the Christian Brothers Trio and the Chiquita-track (maybe I'm not ready for heaven yet.....), but the rest of the tracks sure sounds great as always...

here's the cover-pic of the Sceptics:

ciao from Italy!

Thank you once again Michael for the feedback, good or bad ;)

Here's the pic sleeve I used for the art. Might be the same one in the link actually, just a little bigger in size.

Ciao my friend!
Mario.
