Didn't expect to see this on Reddit...

so, do you think he's going to upload it on ebay?? He seems pretty optimistic about getting 2000 for the record... maybe he should be redirected here!!

How rare this Orlyn really is? That copy looks unplayed.

I am unaware of an unplayed / mint copy out there in a collection. So, a 2 grand asking price is not out of line, IMO. The seller stand a chance of reaching that amount if someone with $$$ needs an upgrade.

Good question - considering that the G1000 (or rather, the G274) is a bit out of date, how many copies of this one are out there?

I would guess that 3 or 4 more copies have been found in the 10-12 years since the original G1000 was published. So, maybe about a dozen out there now?

The G1000 was originally 1000 records (almost). You can still view it here

to see the other pages, just change "800" to "700" or "900" etc. in your browser.

For those of you curious about this 45, it is now in my possession. I would grade it as VG++, due to a couple inaudible surface scuffs. However, it plays beautifully and the labels are also really nice.

I would venture a guess that this is the nicest copy in existence. I feel very fortunate to make this the 1st Orlyn 45 in my collection.
