Dunno if this has been posted before. 2004 news clip of their reunion. Bit slow and saggy as you would expect from older
men, but the organ player (the organ is the centre of both 45 cuts) is kinda outta steam (let alone the sound of the modern equipment)

I think its great. So many ways they could have blown it, and mostly they didn't. Organ player could do with a cup of tea, or just less in the mix.

I saw their reunion at the Ponderosa Stomp in 2005. They played Tryin' to Mess My Mind twice - at the start and end of the set. The sound was much improved by a Hammond organ. They also did a good version of She's the One. The rest was typical covers like Gimme Some Lovin'.

Amazing! I had no idea this existed. So great that the local television channel in New Orleans devoted so much time to them.

Kris Sherman did most of the talking during the interview. He was lead singer and rhythm guitar, but his brother Scott (drums) sang vocals on both sides of the record. Good to see him belt it out again here.

There were two reunions, the first in 2004 and the final in 2005. Scoot Sherman was one of the 1,836 people who died in Hurricane Katrina shortly after the second reunion.

I still remember tracking these guys down around 1995. Placed a long distance call to New Orleans "information," the local operator, and requested the number for someone listed as "M. Clyborne," which was how the name was spelled on the reproduction of the Flambeaux label on the Eva comp. The operator told me there was no one listed with that name in New Orleans, but there was a "Marshall Clyburn," and would I like his number? The rest is history.
