The Chain Reactions did not sell for $237 (here in the USA, we place the currency identifier before the numeric value;) )

I purchased the copy on that date for $136.50. There were 6 other bidders going after it.
There are also two copies priced much higher as buy it now options.

I didn't place a bid on that Cobras cause it was ¿mispelled? as COBRA (singular) and feared it might be a new repro sold as original.

hi mike,
thanks, i meant 137$. corrected it in the original list.

cobras: i believe it must have been altered by the band members when they re-named the band "king cobra". you can see the edited label on the basement walls site now.

So same song / two issues, right? I don't have TBM handy at the moment.
And the question mark after the price, was the price too steep in your opinion?

the record in question had the "s" of cobras erased out. i fiddled around with the picture to check the deadwax and i could see the remains of the missing "s". done with a rubber/eraser, perhaps?

if you mean the smiley face, i was indicating that it was a super bargain in case it really is NM.

i'm really surprised it raked in that many $$$. it was listed as "post-rock", not even mentioning the "garage" genre. i bid (i think) 333$, and was convinced i'd get it:nope: in a cruel twist of fate, the countdown went to zero and my bid of like 75$ still was the top bid when the auction ended. when i wanted to pay the record i realised there were lots of last second bids. never had this ebay issue before.

I never dreamed that one would prove to be so elusive. It's times like those I really hate E-snipe.

Sure, fun idea! But maybe you could edit your original post and turn it into an alphabetical listing which you add to as new auctions end. Then we could all see, over time, how titles fare on "the market". Sort of like the original eBay watch, though without reference to the g45 list

And yeah, 137$ does my head in, $137 please ;)
