I went through a large collection of mostly crappy records today. There was a pile of LP's without covers in one box. I didn't even look at them but my friend did and pulled out this totally unknown 5 song LP by the ELASTIK BAND recorded for UNI Records. There are loads of interviews with David Cortopassi on the net and though he mentions they recorded a full LP for UNI, it was never released. There was a 45 for Kapp (UNI label) and then UNI changed their name to DANGERFIELD which released a 45 on Kapp in 1969. The LP has the same 5 songs on each side but none of them are on 45s which makes them all unreleased. I'd put them in 1968 a year before UNI changed their name to DANGERFIELD. The 1st song Rosie Come Lately is really cool. The other 4 songs are Sunshine Pop. 2 good songs, 2 so-so. David C. doesn't mention any of these song titles in his interviews and none of them were on the ELASTIK BAND cd they released a few years back. Sorry...nothing close to SPAZZ, but then what is?
