DJ weddings for 25 years and then tell me you still like that song.Disagree here. All-time great ballad. The Ones version is topnotch but nobody comes close to the Righteous Brothers.

I concur.I cannot stand any version other than Al Hibbler's.
Best Righteous Brothers "Spector era" tune for me is "Just Once In My Life"
Can I refer you to the savage version done by The Readymen??Shortnin' Bread...Even the good versions aren't that good.
That's the one I can kinda handle, but I just can't get past the lyrics! Can I refer you to the savage version done by The Readymen??
Any track from "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" is capable of causing a vomit launch for me

I can take the original now and then, and then mostly the 2nd half. All others are pointless.Bald-Headed Woman I can live without running across another version of on yet another comp. I remember some kind of really crude Beefheart style Ooh Pooh Etc. I liked but mostly can well live without that as well.
It still bugs me UA did that horrible Ventures LP cover with a Buster Brown cartoon saying that and they never recorded it (one more reason to love The Ventures)!

I love almost everything by IKE & TINA TURNER but River Deep, Mountain High is so over rated and frankly...boring. So are all covers. I call it a Wall Of Noise. Am I wrong?
Mikey...Would your mother allow me to adopt youTHAT song is thee most over-rated piece of tripe ever recorded, surpassing even the most self-indulgent Beatles tune (yer choice here....) It amazes me that everyone involved thought Spector had reached his creative zenith, and that it was a sure-fire #1 hit. The public was right in this instance, since the song tanked, barely creeping upward on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Here's another alltime tune to make me "ralph" - "Give Peace A Chance", man does that one really get on my nerves. If some unknown had submitted that piece of shit to a major label it would not have gotten past the receptionists desk. Yuck !

Reminds me of this abomination. This song is a good candidate for throwing up. Who the hell ever thought this was a good idea?!?!?!?!
