At the height of Easter Everywhere, the Lama returns! Uncalled for, some might say, while others never noticed he disappeared in the first place. In any event, I hope you are enjoying this most revered of the garage psych holidays.

Q: Does anyone have the Fabulous Apostles 45 on Shana within reach and if so, could you possibly post the dead wax info? A-side will suffice. Thanks.

Patrick who?

jes kidding

Good to see you. I was well aware of your disappearance, because one of your last comments was being pissed off bout something I had said. Whatever it was, I don't remember the details, I apologize.
It was actually you, I think, who brought me to the forum, because I was searching the web for information about the Elevators CD box, and I think you had started the thread or, at least, were the expert on the matter.
I skipped the CD box, stayed here, and waited for the vinyl.
Two years later, it's there on my shelf (what a beauty!), you're back, a friend of mine from L.A. asked me about the box set yesterday, wishing Easter Everywhere!, too, and when I pulled out the fabulous Flashjunkies EP yesterday, I finally realized what it says on the back of its sleeve: Ostern überall.
Sometimes the world ain't square, but round, it seems. I mean coming full circle. ;)

Are the mighty Flashjunkies getting their due recognition 15 years after the fact? I sure hope so! (And not just because I'd then swap their original silkscreened 'Strawberry Tuesday" poster for a copy of the Sincerely Mindfield 45 w/ PS)

Welcome back Patrick!

Thanks bluegg for the reply & y'all others for the welcome... good to see the usual suspects are still here, but it's just the way it should be... once you've gone out to the crossroads and made a deal with the Devil to collect old vinyl discs, you're condemned for life.

A curious little story is unfolding around this Fabulous Apostles disc and the WCPAEB involvement, more as soon as I have the data properly aligned.

PS to Axel... I have zero memory of any disagreement, so whatever it was, it's water under the bridge for sure. A Swiss cheese memory is a useful thing to have.

I just got a copy of this record and it has a different label than I've seen before. Has anyone else got this variation that features our hero, Shaun Harris, pictured on top? It's too tiny to see in the scan but his name is underneath his picture. It has the same matrix info as the other version.

For informational purposes (and to keep The Lama informed in the afterlife), there are THREE label variations that I know of on this: The more common gold label, the pink 'Shaun Harris/address' label, and a plain pink label without the 'Shaun Harris/address' at the top. I wish some current stoner-rock band would cover "Dark Horse Blues". Paul Major...are you listening?
