OK, since I have all the old forum comps (I think?), I thought I'd 'borrow' the Forum comp directory on the Garagepunk MKII forum.
What I'd like to do is to upload all the comps (one at a time and in irregular intervals), and update the 1st post with download links every time I upload a new title.
Other members are welcome to upload stuff too, but please keep it FLAC ONLY!

If any of the comp-makers have issues with this, please let me know and I'll remove their entries.

I just played Masterbeat64's rockabilly comp, Rockabilly #1, so that'll be the first from the list.
Here's the artwork I made when it came:

16444243-d0b

16444251-92a

16444247-6b8

Pfft...$300 Fine was one I made for the old site.... That was the competition to spend $300 or less on 45s during April-July 2006 and come up with something of interest.

I can help out with posting some of these. I'll post something here later tonight. (FLAC ONLY)

And yes, as Bard stated, if the compiler has any problems with ME posting, then let me know and I'll remove it.

Coloured Sights & Sounds - Volume 4

Some lucky souls on my hit list would have rec'd a handsome vinyl CDR instead of the usual silver disc

please keep it FLAC ONLY!

Bard

I have most of these but they ain't FLACS. I'd like to help out with the occasinal posting, but if that's the rule, my question is: how do I change these to FLAC? Forgive me, but I'm not quite sure how this procedure works. I tried simply converting the MP3's to FLAC, but when I tried uploading the folder, it said it would take 2 and half hours!!

Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah, you can't turn an mp3 to a FLAC. Then again, everyone don't care about if it is a flac or not, do they?
It'd be cool if we could have both, but then it should be clearly posted if it is a flacfile or an mp3 one.

Well, I can post MP3 versions. If nobody really cares about such things.

I personally, don't.

As long as the MP3s are 320kbps I don't care either.

FLACs are supposed to offer CD clarity but if you don't have the ears of a bat I'm sure the difference will be marginal. And as other people have mentioned already these uploads are for use in the car or personal HI-FIs on the go...not for a cultured listening experience chilling out at home and playing 'em on your best set-up with a glass of Scotch whiskey.
