G1000 Ranking Project

Even though I'm the one who complained about the flood of new posts (it is a bit overwhelming and distracting), I am interested in participating in the project (and was actually the first to make a contribution).

I can't really contribute to the project, but I'd like to follow the work in progress - if that would be OK?

Hi Boss!
I tend to pick my 'apples from the lower branches' but may be able to contribute with selections from G500 to G1000....

Sounds like fun... and a lot of work. May I ask what the procedure is like?

BBTD, greenfuzz, Heitkotter77, Mr.Segment, chas_kit, peppermint, down-n-out, Andreas, Miracle Mirror, EXPO67, reyes, HarvestmanMan, captainsalty, axel and of course Moptopmike all have the key now.

I'm glad you pointed that out. There will be lots of casual users who will benefit. It's a pity there isn't a better solution but at least now there is a choice.

Groups of 45s are put up as separate threads, 50 at a time. Everyone is invited to give their opinion on each record. Rarity, Legend and Trend, all scored out of 10. Then we feed all the data into The Oracle, which computes a dollar value to be used to create the Official G1000 for the next millennium.

To understand how Rarity, Legend and Trend work, it is helpful to read the instruction manual here :
http://www.g45central.com/g45/Oracle/G45Oracle.html

Also it is possible to award half-point scores for Rarity, above level 4. That is, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, 9, 9.5, 10.

Alright, pretty sure I'm not qualified to work on this. I don't know nearly as much as I need to.

Thanks to all others who are helping out on this, but I suppose you can count me out.
