G45 Ebay Watch

There's another copy of Als Untouchables listed, looks to be in better shape. I am amazed that three people were willing to go over 1K for a cracked record. Not many M- copies of it in existence though.

OK, let's get some feedback on these prices, so I know you guys are paying attention!

2. A copy of Royal Flairs - Suicide/One Pine Box on Marina sold for $307.98.

This one's flying across the pond to the sunny and increasingly-awful-place-to-live Spain...The grading was a bit confusing but it's such a killer record!

A good price of the grading is ok, didn't see it myself.

I guess it's more or less apparent now that there has been a quantity find on this. Even Industrial Silence offers up M- copies. Apart from Graf Zeppelin, have there ever been real quantity on other Orlyn titles? Sceptres seemed to be around at some point, but that may just have been stray copies for all I know.

Otherwise no big surprises in the results. I think, apart from the alice/thomasfunk copy, the Mourning Reign with PS is the first appearance on eBay?

Has the Squires gone up in price since last year? Seemed to be going for $150 odd back then and over $200 now. Summer in Europe?

Best of luck with this on your turntable. I won this very copy last year and it didnt track with the warp (on a addmitedly rather sensitive TT), so I sent it back...

It's steadily increased in price the last few years. I've been following it since I still do not have a copy. Kept putting it off, stupid move.

but didnt the funk-copy (same or even better condition, if I recall) sell for about 1K less?

I can't recall, but I do remember thinking it was not a bad asking price. Maybe his somewhat confusing grading system scared potential big wigs off of it? Or you just become blind to his endless listings of the same over-prized discs.

Thanks for the tip, I'll send it back straight away, how dare he sell the same record one year later?

Mourning Reign was a quantity find 45 with the pic sleeve back in the mid 80s. All were white label promo copies with the pic sleeve; the golden yellow stock copies are a bit tuffer to find It has been on ebay several times since I've been on ebay (1998).

There were some quantities found on Orlyn 45s. I suggest go back and search on this forum, as we have discussed these several times

Record received, did you say "warped"? Well, it's way beyond warped, literally UNPLAYABLE record, what a shame!

oh gosh, sorry to hear. I never actually got to see the copy last year. had it sent to a friend's house and he mailed an MP3 with sounded, well, like it spent a hot summer afternoon behind a windshield...
