Congratulations to whoever won that Marauders 45. I expected it to go for more.

The Sky View or Eastwood Marauders? I won the Sky View 45. Stayed away from the other as it only got a 4 on the garage o meter. Is it any good???

The Primates 45 has been a $75-100 disc for years. Though it´s starting to look like it is more around $150 now. Lot´s of them out there anyhoot, as opposed to their other 45 on Marko.

Pressed on very thin vinyl. I would think $100 would be a bargain these days. One of my favorite songs too.

I bought the most recent copy of Knock On My Door off Ebay , condition was very poor and I got part of my purchase price refunded !

Bummer to hear. At least it didn't show up like this one did on Saturday!

Primates "Knock On My Door" must have been found in quantity back in the day, early 80s if not before. I never really figured out how they were distributed but I think I got my first copy from Times Square and I remember finding the odd copy or two in the northeast. All of the old time collectors would have one. "Don't Press Your Luck" was never available like that and was somewhat of a mystery - speculation that it may have been the same song as the Shags - until several years later. In 2013 I think the "Knock On My Door"/"She" 45 are their best songs.

The Marauders 45 on Eastwood is pretty hard to find. Much rarer than the Interns or Diamond Rings / Frisco Mint. I think it's a good record on both sides. I don't think I ever looked at the TBM rating but a 4 is probably fair. One side is more moody with greaserish harmony vocals while the other side is a good teenbeat swingin' version on a Isley Brothers song. I remember seeing the copy on ebay but can't find it in the completed listings - had a relatively high starting bid.

I agree with Mr Buckeye regarding 'Don't Press Your Luck' . That one hardly ever shows up. The last once I recall being sold in the wild was in pretty tough shape and still brought the seller a car payment! I would think most of the hard core New England collectors have it in their collections.

Looking back I see I won a copy of Don't Press Your Luck on ebay for $63 in 2007!
That was a bargain. I agree with Mike that a fair value for a vg+ "Don't Press Your Luck" today would be $500. And maybe $150 for a mint copy of "Knock On My Door". And I also rate "Knock On My Door" / "She" higher than "Don't Press Your Luck", one of the very few times I disagree with the TBM panel assessment.

Whoops - my poor vision read the TBM "8" as a "6". Panel got it right after all.

Belatedly, here's a batch of higher-dollar eBay sales from mid-April:

1. A VG+ copy of Tree - No Good Woman/Man From No Where on Barvis sold as a BUY IT NOW for $400.
2. A VG++ copy of Classics - I'm Hurtin'/Trisha on Amway sold for $1,136.
3. A copy of The Corals - Red Eye Glasses/Love You Baby on Orlyn sold for $416.
4. A VG++ copy of Teddy & His Patches - Suzy Creamcheese/From Day to Day on Chance sold for $305.
5. A M- copy of The Trolls - Walkin' Shoes/How Do You Expect Me To Trust You on Peatlore sold for $316.

That is a pretty insane price. But I guess if you own (almost) everything, a complete Oak beat collection is a must! I sure hope we won't see the premium prices currently paid for M- UK albums transfer over to the 45s.

Private listings is a f*kkin' invitation to scamming. Really annoying. Why is that option even offered anymore? Bidding on such an auction right now, did not even mention it was a private listing until I got outbid. Fishy.

Nevermind. I won. Mohahahahahahaha!

Anyone know if Italian eBay seller fulvio49 is related in any way to a certain Italian cave jerk? I would bid on fulvio49 auctions if I could be sure he wasn't....
