G45 Ebay Watch

!!!!!! SPECIAL BONUS AUSTRALIAN UPDATE !!!!!!

Yeah, I know what you're thinking: "Why is he spending time listing Australian records, when he's still over a month behind on US records?"

Two reasons:
A. Our esteemed host is Australian.
B. My top (3) Australian wants were all listed during the same time span. Here they are:

1. A Fair copy of The Atlantics - Come On/You Tell Me Why on Sunshine sold for $820.
2. An EX+ copy of The Elois - By My Side/I'm A Man on In sold for $1,125.
3. A VG+ copy of The Moods - Rum Drunk/I Love You So on HMV sold for $739.
4. What appears to be the same copy of the Moods 7" was then relisted and sold for $727.

These higher-dollar eBay sales kicked-off December:

1. A VG copy of The Madhatters - Just Won't Leave/Mister, You're A Better Man Than I on Mask sold for $300.
2. A VG copy of Tonto & the Renegades - Little Boy Blue/I Knew This Thing Would Happen on Sound of the Sceen sold for $250.
3. A VG- copy of The Wee Four - Weird/Give Me A Try on Nu Sound sold for $272.
4. A VG++ copy of Travis Pike's Tea Party - If I Didn't Love You Girl/The Likes of You on Alma sold for $525.
5. A VG copy of The Beaux Jens - She Was Mine/Trouble Baby on Sound of the Sceen sold for $277.
6. An EX copy of The Fuzztones - We're In Love/Fuzz Jerk on Sky sold for $838.

The 45s had first been spied by an old Rocky Mountain area dealer years and years and years ago and he managed to track them back down again this year. Tons of 45s of killer 45s were in the stash, mostly from the mid-60s. Except for a few the whole lot was sold on to J$. I wanna say the original asking price (in public) was upwards of twenty grand. No picking. All or none.

The ebay seller is the same fellow who purchased the 100,000 or so 45s that Krazy Kat in ABQ had been sitting on the summer before last. Good guy who takes care of his buyers.

It's February - I guess I should try to wrap up December:

1. A VG+ copy of Kenny & the Kasuals - Don't Let Your Baby Go/The Best Thing Around on Mark sold for $767.
2. A VG+ copy of Grains of Sand - Goin' Away Baby/Golden Apples of the Sun on Genesis sold for $559.
3. A M- copy of Bud & Kathy - Hang It Out to Dry/Letter to An Angel on Downey sold for $368.
4. A M copy of The Ron-De-Voo's - The Maid/Pipeline 66 on Cycle sold for $369.
5. A VG copy of The Rondeus - Anymore/Day Tripper on Magna sold for $280.
6. A M- copy of The Sons - I'm Gone/Cry Baby on Coastline sold for $363.

hmm, I gave a copy of the Huns to an ex (after we broke up too, damn you soft spot!), now what's the G45 statute of limitations for asking her to return it!? :sneaky::%:

Section 33.4 of the G45 Guidelines explicitly states that a 45 conveyed by the "G45 Collector" to a partner or spouse within 5 years of a breakup or argument are deemed to have been relinquished under duress and remain the property of the "G45 Collector" without limitation and irrespective of the passage of time.

Then I assume this is open to the grievance procedure if the 45 is not returned within the contractually agreed upon provisions of the G45 International Agreement Guidelines? He should contact t his G45 Steward immediately.

Does anybody know how long ebay keeps "ended auctions" in their system? I thought it was only a couple of weeks, but you can still find auctions in there that ended months ago, some close to a year. Do they now keep everything logged that long??
