That makes some sense. It's still a lot to pay for a cracked record. I do give credit to the seller for (presumably) full disclosure. Some might have deliberately failed to mention the crack then claimed it happened in the mail. We all know a dealer or two who may have done that.

Anyone here snag them?

I'd have happily taken The Dovers (though the condition is very suspect), if I hadn't already spent up my record budget for Feb and March already.

Chancellors "On Tour" just went for 411 and change, supposedly mint...bargain I'd say, though I haven't checked it's sale history.

Addendum: looks like this one has sold six times in the last two years with the exact same wording in the header for the listing, so yeah, quantity and not a surprising price for this monster...

Another couple of huge sales yesterday. Keith Kessler hit $638 and Tonto and the Renegades (Little Boy Blue) went for $428. Great records but crazy money. I picked up The Kandells on Bear for under $350, which I was delighted with but I guess many will think that's a lot of money too so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised by those prices.

I think the Kandells price was in the ballpark . The description was a bit vague , that probably put off some people . It's probably vg or if you're lucky vg+ .
