Due to the recent and on-going spam attacks we have experienced from time to time, Moptopmike has kindly agreed to help oversee the proper administration of G45Central, in particular to keep an eye on the pesky spammers and stomp 'em out when they pop up.

Mike was the first member of G45Central back in 2006, and everyone here knows how much his contributions continue to enhance the site, as well as furthering our knowledge and appreciation of the outer limits of Teenbeat Mayhem.

Welcome to the G45Central staff, Mike. I'm really glad to have you on board as G45 Super Moderator. Luckily for both of us, it's pretty quiet around these here parts....

I've probably known Mike longer than anyone who posts here. We've been friends for close to 30 years - damn Mike, has it really been that long !

He always applies himself completely to a task & will no doubt be the perfect choice for the job at hand.

Congratulations Mike !

If you guys knew about some of the "non 60's garage/psych/teenbeat" 45s in my collection you'd revoke my moderator status!

I'm sure most of us can say the same thing. Maybe we need a confessions thread on some of the 45s in our collections.
I've owned the same copy of Richard Harris "MacArthur Park" since 1968.

I've owned the same copy of SIR LORD BALTIMORE Kingdom Come since I accidently stole it along with the Woodstock Lp from Kresge's in 1970. My mom wouldn't buy Woodstock for me for my birthday because it was too expensive. So she buys me the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band because it had Mr. Bojangles on it (hey I was 13) So what do I do, I go back in the store with the bag and stick the Woodstock LP in it. When I got home I discovered that I had accidently stolen another LP also. It was by SIR LORD BALTIMORE. Turns out that it was the LP that would guide me for rest of my life to love obscure Hard rock. Well 6ts & 7ts hard rock. Even got my little sister into hard rock. Top that!:yikes:

I have always liked Don't Worry Kyoko, b side of Cold Turkey. I've still got the single, inherited from one of my older brothers
I do like it (also on the "Fly" double album which should have been a triple or quadruple album), but at a mere 5 minutes long it's a bit short. Just when you're getting into it, it's over. Side 4 is better with the title track "Fly", consisting of Yoko imitating the sound of a fly for over 22 minutes.

I first heard The Child Molesters doing Don't Worry Kyoko and thought it was a very amusing song title. Then I learned it was a Yoko original and it took the fun out of it.
