G45central will be down for a few hours

You may have noticed very slow performance logging in and accessing pages on the forum over the last couple of weeks. To fix this and avoid it happening in future, I have decided to move the forum to a cloud based hosting service. This will require the forum to be disabled for up to 24 hours sometime over the next few days.

I expect everything to go well (mainly because I'm not doing it myself!), and when the forum re-opens it should look exactly the same as always.

It's most likely that the URL for the cloud site will be

www.g45central.com

instead of the current URL which is

www.g45central.com/forum

But it could be either one, we'll see.
Don't bother clicking the link yet because it is not yet active.

Hopefully quick question.
I have the forum page bookmarked (like your current link above).
After the move, will anything change as far as that - will the bookmark be recognized, or will it be redirected to the new location or will we need to search for the new one, or will just going to www (dot) g45 (dot) com bring us to the cloud site?

It will be either the exact same URL as it is now, or just

www.g45central.com

or both. I will try for both, but I'm not sure if that's possible. At the very least, the current URL will give a re-direction link to the new site. Once the new site is ready, you will be able to bookmark it normally.
