Teardrops drummer Ange Rotondo sent me this wonderful postcard in the mail of Patty Jo and the Teardrops - incredible.

Dig that hot rod!!!

As a postcard collector AND a So. Colorado record collector, this took my breath away (posted it immediately on my blog RE: Teardrops). I've seen polka bands, mariachi bands, marching bands, but I have never seen a garage band postcard promotional piece - EVER.

I know most bands simply handed out 5X7 pictures, but would love to see other "non-traditional" garage band promotional items. Anybody have anything to share?

I have a handful in my collection (Impacts Express and Raunch, off the top of me head) and have seen several others in magazines or online. Definitely a cool collectible.

I also have a very cool promotional booklet - not much bigger than a baseball card - issued by The Dimensionals, a California band that I don't believe ever recorded.

Christmas cards were also somewhat popular among the better-known bands. I've seen several of those as well, but have only managed to snag a signed one by The Lost.
