KBSG is the oldies station I used to listen to while making flower bouquets and arrangements at the family business, I don't remember being lucky enough to have caught him live on the radio then however. KBSG sadly is no more, the big talk radio station KIRO bought out their FM frequency. For an oldies station KBSG was really pretty cool and concentrated on early to mid '60s, so no Freebird or whatever other couple dozen standards passed for classic rock elsewhere.
I recently got to talking with cartoonist Trina Robbins about the early Ciro's days of The Byrds and the clothes and she related how Michael Clarke gave her his Byrds sweatshirt but she gave it away to some 'teenybopper' (her term, not mine) fan of theirs (maybe one of Vito's freak dancer disciples). The Byrds really ignited L.A. and then the world.
Interesting to see the KZOK bits with Rick Roberts too. This is all circa 1988, guess there was some Burritos reunion as well as Byrds thing going around? The only questions I'd be asking Randy Meisner about would be The Poor.
