I bought a Golliwogs "Fight Fire / Fragile Child" promo 45 on Scorpio last night and I felt a little odd about it because the condition was almost too nice. I'm now seeing the pressing doesn't match any I can find, so I'm worried it's an older boot. Does such a thing exist? These are the descriptions of both promo pressings from Barry Wickham's price guide:
1. White label with "Promotional Copy" and "SCOR-405" underneath band name on both labels. A-side deadwax "F-2653-1", B-side deadwax "F-2564-1", both sides have an "I", all machine stamped.
2. Yellow label promo with "Promotional Copy" on labels, A-side deadwax "F-2563-RE", B-side deadwax "F-2564", both sides also have an "H", all machine stamped.
Mine: white label with "Promotional Copy" on labels, no "SCOR-405" under band name. A-side deadwax "F-2653-1", B-side deadwax "F-2564-1", neither machine stamped. But both sides have an "R" machine stamped.
