Happy Snaps

The complete Underdogs 45 collection. Judy Be Mine was also issued on Reprise.

"Judy Be Mine (Friday at the Hideout)" was also issued as "Friday at the Hideout" with the same record number. It was also issued under that 2nd title on Reprise 0422. I'm guessing the light blue 1001 label has the "Friday at the Hideout" title on the flip?

how 'bout showing all the 45s that you have the only known copy on earth...Knightsmen (Ikon) etc.

There aren't many left. I used to have dozens, or at least that's what I thought...these days it's a handful at most, if you don't count acetates. It's actually pretty hard, or impossible for me to know how many copies are out there. After all, I live on the most isolated continent on Earth.

is there more than 1 copy of Purple Virus? Besides Crocker's copy, are there any other red label Denise 45s out there?

Here is one, for certain. This record is so rare, it took me 25 years to find, and was my #1 want for all those years. It's the only known copy, period. When I started collecting BFTG 45s, around 1996, I managed to get every 45 pressing on volumes 1-9 within 5 or 6 years, except for two. I had every BFTG pressing (except two) before I even started posting on the old garagepunk forum in 2004, and before eBay even existed, at least for garage 45 collectors. The two were The Village Outcast, and Just Too Much. It took me another 3 years to find The Village Outcast, and another 15 years after that to find Just Too Much. Even BFTG 9 itself was mastered from a cassette, because no-one had the 45. No-one even knew what the flipside title was, and no-one on the forum had ever heard it. Not even Mark Crocker had it, haha. Mike and I had to bodgie up a fake label scan of this for the top 500 labels for TBM. Take a look, you will see the obvious differences (#186). I must say that Mike's guess as to the look and details was almost spot on, considering he had never seen the 45. And my photoshop handiwork was not bad, either. There's no way I would believe another copy of this 45 exists, unless I see a scan or photo. But you never know...
