In the wake of the Jimmy Seals post, this is the best record to my ears in 'no soul artists make soul records'. The record was advertised in the trades as Anka adopting the Detroit sound
Pummelers from Victoria Williams & JB Ledbetter, Little Dooley, Gene & Eunice, Joe Hicks, Pervis Herder and Ditalians.
I love this song. Tried for years to find a copy in the 2000s&2010s but nothing. Must be quite rare. I created the discogs entry 7 years ago, no registered sales there either (though that might of course mean nothing...)Have to mention this as well by a mystery duo called Buster & James, from 1966 and is sporting an early Harry Nilsson writing credit. One of my all-time faves. Not as stomping as many of the above mentioned tracks, but with a lot of energy regardless.
WOW! Cold Blood! Brings back great memories of a time gone by. Here’s my favorite Cold Blood tune…
It's definitely a very scarce record. I bought mine from a guy in the UK about 15 years ago, I've only seen one other copy come up for sale since then (through ebay) and it sold extremely cheap considering its quality and rarity.I love this song. I like both versions of this song by these artists.Never a Cold Blood fan...this is the original and better version of "I'm A Good Woman"
