Prisoner's Dream (label typo error spells it wrong) were from Cannonsburg, PA, 1967.
Sawyers were from Gypsum, Kansas, 45 released in 1968
Midnight Shift were from Ann Arbor (college cats I think), both 45s were released in 1967.

Yeah, forgot: The Chantells had two 45s, Century Custom pressings, both from '65. They have the "no logo" plain looking label design, yellow with black text. They were from Richmond, VA
Vibratones had 2 45s on Raynard, they were from Green Bay, WI
Saucermen 45 = 1967
Toronados were from Battle Creek, MI
golden Cabaleers were from Holstein, IA (IA, not IO for the 2 letter state abbreviation)

What the hell is the Tortesian Two?

Thank you so much, mike! the info gaps become less and less.

i spent quite some time on this volume so i'm glad the band info won't be a half-assed thing.

Tortesian Two: I don't see it mentioned anywhere on the web. it is, like all tracks on this volume, moody. it's pretty sparse and folk-y. probably too wimpy for a lot of folks.

the comp should be out by christmas and i'll post the download on this board, of course. but a fair warning: it's moody, so probably the right thing for christmas?

thanks again
-Lee

Fabulous Wunz are from my adopted home town of Asheville, NC. Some folks here in town say they were the band to see around 65. Great Beatle-ish tunes! Still no clues on the mysterious Satyrs though....

"CHANTELLS on Century, ? of two 7", Richmond VA 1965"

A Bing search pulls up some info on them. I'm familar with the name as I played in bands in the Richmond, VA area in the mid '60s, they were fairly popular here but I don't remember much about them.
