what am i doing here? i've got two buildings full of records. i love MUSIC. i'm a musician. i was a sound engineer assistant. my life has been AROUND actual live music for decades. i also started buying records in the late 60s and haven't stopped yet.

hell, i know some of the guys who played in the bad roads on jin. :^/

my point is you folks seemed more focused on minutia and rarity, than musicianship.
i find that a bit revealing from non musicians.

when you're able to do it yourself, you'll be better qualified to be so judgemental of musicians.

how many garage bands have any of you played in? let me guess, add all of you up, and the answer is ZERO?

try not to be so judgemental of musicians. you folks really aren't that qualified, except in your own minds. merely third party observation. i'm entitled to my opinion.

I personally have played in ummmm about 20 garage bands -

I turned my town into a hotbed of 60's leaning garage bands.

...and of all those bands none could play their instruments well, or get them in tune, but the kids danced and sweated.

Musicians are over-rated, give me a bunch of inept noisemakers any day.
 
sorry folks, i been too busy gentrifying the Bronx to chime in again here....anyway...yow! thought this would inspire debate/conversation, but man it went off the rails for quite awhile there. other than the genuine trolling, imho some interesting points were all made here once again proving that G45 is the most criminally underrated music forum on the net ;-)
 
I've never bought a Vanilla Fudge record or CD........I'm gonna keep it that way unless someone knows that they hid a killer psych track on a B-Side or something.
