Jade on Swing Records

It is from November 1975.
I contacted the songwriter a while back, I'll see if i can find his e-mail...

Jade formed in 1971, a couple of years after songwriter & leader Bob Santa Lucia got back from his military duties.
They were based in Latham, New York.
The group incorporated a stage show, doing comedy routines, imitations, etc for mostly a "legal drinking age" crowd as all were in their mid 20s at the time the record was made. The group continues today, Bob and musician friends perform as Jade for various functions and events.
Bob's teen combo in the mid 1960s was the Mustangs, no recordings.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling they were close to the Capitol District. I thought the release could have been '68/'69 or a little later, but not that late. The fact that it was recorded in 'stereo' gave me the clue.

I talked to the writer too recently and he said he wrote the song in 1965. How would you rate this?

He told me that he was influenced by groups that played in the area like the Knickerbockers. I don't know if he changed it up when they actually recorded it on Nov. 1975.

I contacted the writer Bob Santa Lucia also. He told me he wrote the song 1965. He said all of the 1000 copies made were sold mostly at their gigs around town over the years. I take it that you liked the record enough to find him. He said his brother made up the name of the label.

How would you rate this 45 and would you include it to TBM?
