Last Of The Garage Punk Unknowns Volumes 3 & 4

Well, I think the biggest reason for small sales for these kinda projects is that this business
is run by MUMMIES who refuse to acknowledge modern technology.
I mean, Crypt could at least have a frigging web store.

Go to their website and there is a link where you cans end them an email telling them what you want. Within a short time you will receive an email back telling you how much you owe, including shipping. I order from them here in the US and there has never been a problem.

What? They need a MODERN WEBSTORE! You can't sell SHIT if you don't adopt to the modern ages.
People buy from SMART, EASY TO ORDER WEB STORES, they buy DIGITAL no matter how much you mummies hate it.

Greatness should not be easy to obtain.:boggle:

The discrepancy between Crypt's extremely high quality of releases vs. their limping wreck of a 90's remnant website is staggering. That "Greatness should not be easy to obtain" is just ridiculous and beside the point. Most of Crypt's releases are SUPER EASY to get ahold of via non-Crypt mailorder services or on eBay from people that have bought the records at wholesale prices and as a result are offered at higher prices than directly from Crypt. The POINT is that if Crypt had an ever so slightly more modern website they could cut in to some of those sales and instead get full retail price for their product. But perhaps they just don't WANT to sell their releases via their own mailorder and want to eliminate the hassle by selling via wholesalers, which is fine ofcourse. In any case, their website is still a sad place to visit.

commerce websites can cost a lot to launch, and then you're in for plenty of fees, constant updates, and problems. A simple html site is much less prone to being hijacked and hacked than a Wordpress or other platform with php or java exploits.

But if Crypt wanted a modern ecommerce site, I'd lend a hand, gratis.

website schmebsite. When I release a cd I sell them to the 4 big distributors (3 in the U.S. and Clearspot) it's then their job to get them out there. After I get them manufactured and send them out to the distribs, they are out of my hands. I don't want to have to work my ass off selling these things for pennies on the dollar for the amount of time and money into them. Timmie you rule!!! Keep up the great work!!! Your site rocks.

Raised the question of pending LOTGPU-plans due to allegedly low sales when buying the Squires LP and Tyme 7" at the Crypt store the other day, and Dirk couldn't have looked more surprised. He said the only problem right now is the represses of the new BFTGs not being done soon enough and the months a small lable has to wait to get new releases pressed in these "vinyl revival"-days. He certainly didnt say anything about disappointing sales and as the guy handling the mailorder he should know. The next LOTGPU volumes should be out in early 2016 due to full order books at the plants.

Now, THAT'S good news. Dunno how many copies of BFTG were pressed, but I *guess* that it's been at least 1000 or 1500 copies (they're pretty cheap for high quality gatefold releases of that kind). The fact that they're now sold out a few months after their release means that the world has not gone completely crazy. Can't wait for the upcoming LOTGU.

State-Side. Put a couple of (Barnes & Noble) gift cards to good use last month ... finally received my CD copy of the Last of The Garage Punk Unknowns Vols 1&2 today and a LP copy of the Ho-Dad Hootenanny yesterday. Smok'n

Frankly, I don't see what all the fuss is about. You just go to the website, it gives the email address and tells you to send an email saying where you live and what you want and then you get an email back telling you how much to pay paypal. One week later you've got your order. What could be simpler?

I wanna be impersonal and bosh a few virtual buttons:icon_lol:, not write an essay and say please and thank you that is way too much trouble.

Are MUMMIES Thee New Luddites?:sonny:
why the hell should I do that when I can sum up my feelings in one word and do the ditto to the guy before me. Some people just like to be agreed with once in awhile. You should try it some time CHE.
