Neato trick Derf... looks like the Hatville might have had a gal on drums, maybe.

Indeed it does. Is it from microfiche or was it inverted in the yearbook?? The drum head looks like it might have some potential coolness too.

The Nomads pic, is it the same Nomads with Butch Stoner as a singer?

Churchill High in Eugene, Oregon...

Christmas '66...

Can TOTALLY see 'em playing "I Need Her"

Somehow completely missed this topic. Fab-funking-tastic picture of the band behind one of my favorite 45s! Though he´s supposed to be on organ I´m guesstimating that´s Round Randy in the middle. "The supreme master of the constipated vocal" (G45 blurb)

Great stuff!

Westex these pics rock.

I have a friend who like me collects year books... i'm gonna try and get him to post his year book pics here... some are simply divine.

I have no idea how to scan my yearbooks..... however love what you've put up so far.

favourite for me is the S-L-I-C-K babe... man I wish my school had chicks like that.

Paul

As requested Paul....start from the top with the Ju-Jus........Dear God would I have loved to been at this dance...Creston High in the Holy Land (western MI)

This pic from a Lansing, MI yearbook (i think) did not have the lyrics from the Wanted, but it should have
"Friends always tease and play,
They never understand what you used to say.
When I was with you I felt so fine,
Now I realize my love was so blind.
Now I can't even talk to you,
without feeling sad and blue.
When I was with you, you cheated and lied.
Now I wish I could die."

No band named, but one night, somewhere in the night in the Midwest of 1966. the veil was drawn back and for the length of a dance, this teenage underdog was allowed a glimpse of how the other half lived

I found this pic of an unnamed band in a 1968 yearbook from Cherry Hill, New Jersey:
