List of the mystery bands

I was under the impression that Stereo Shoestring was the ones that "created" English Records, but someone named Gilbert "Gil" Garcia actually owned it. Apparently it has one other release, The Sounds of Time - Brothers/Tranquility.

From YouTube:

"Sorry I took so long to see this but this was a group I had make this on my record company label as you see English Records. The group is from Corpus Christi and this was recorder in Houston Texas back in 1968. I think Vicki Jones was their manager but that was many years ago. Thanks for listening and finding this 45. Gil Garcia owner of English records."

and from The Sounds of Time:

"The Sounds of Time was a band from Corpus Christi, Texas, starting out in the late '60s. They recorded their first hit record "Brothers" (with the song "Brothers" on one side and "Tranquility" on the other) in a recording studio in Houston, Texas, back in 1968. "Brothers" made it on Top 40 Charts for radio stations across Texas, such as KEYS AM and KILT AM. The group moved away from my label, English Records, and management to go on a tour of their own. These songs have not been heard for over 45 years. In fact, "Tranquility" was next to hit the charts, but never ended up unreleased to the general public. The recordings were only recently found and I have converted them to digital, enjoy them and feel free to download either for as much play as you want."

E-mailed him for more info on SS! ...

Yeah, I found Gilbert about two years ago and have been trying to get back with him, he is usually pretty busy around the holidays so I was waiting till after... I also found members of the Sounds Of Time and am working on a piece about them too.
The SS story has been delayed because of some photos I was trying to get my hands on, which will take some effort to get access to!

Has anyone ever found anything out about Chances R on Quill or Half Pint & the Fifths on Orlyn?

I've exchanged emails with one of the guys in Half Pint & The Fifths but he was far from informative.

I gotta hold of Larry Nestor (who wrote BOTH sides of this 45) but his memory is BLANK.
I don't judge him.

The "leader" of this band, Robert Blider, is apparently ashamed of his past.
