Firstly hello to everyone, this is my first post here so please be kind to a newbie.

I run the website 45cat which hopefully most of you have checked out (Google brings me to g45 often enough so I guess it works both ways)

Anyroads I'm currently entering the four volumes of Psychedelic Experience into the database and some of the tracks are a real nightmare to track down details for.

Is it OK to ask on here?

If so then the first one which I'm finding zilch for is..

Track 17 on Volume 4
Long Richard - Force Myself

Anyone know the story behind this one?

:)

The only info I have is that it was released on a nameless label in 1968.
The flipside is called Lovin' Cup.
A Sacramento group, I believe?

You have a great site, Dr. Doom - I visit on a daily basis!

Many thanks pfft for the info and the kind words.

I'm always looking for help on the US garage/psych compilations as although I'm a big fan my knowledge is lagging somewhere behind my enthusiasm (My heavy record collecting days were in Scotland and pre-Ebay - not a happy hunting ground for Fuzz monsters!)

I'm very keen to get more G45 style singles on 45cat especially those featured on compilations - I'm sure many here shared my horror when the Searchin' For Shakes database vanished a few months back (Thankfully back online now of course)

They are a Sacramento band and it will be released on my upcoming Sacramento area Psych comp LUV'S SO FREE. (Frantic Records) It was taken from the original master tape, unlike the Psychedelic Experience bootleg that you are referring to which was dubbed from a record. It will be released in the 1st part of 2013.

I haven't got the liners here, and the Lama (strangely) do not mention it in The Acid Archives.
So, I'm totally clueless.

Any news on the Luv's So Free comp? You're almost 5 years behind schedule ;)
