Hello there,
I've written an article for Ugly Things about Mass. band The Bugs' infamous record "Strangler In The Night" and I'm trying to find a high res scan of issue of Billboard magazine from 20 Feb 1971, page 43, since it features the only known photo of the vice-president of Astor Records.

There are some online archives but the resolution isn't good enough. I've already bought a 1967 issue of Billboard with a cool ad (see below)
If anyone can sell me a copy or share a good scan of it, it would be awesome!

Thanks in advance

Just found he's also seen in Record World of March 16, 1974, p46.
And also in Cash Box May 8, 1976, P32.
Forgot to say he's Sam Cammarata.

Also, anyone has a picture of the Bugs? The original one used in the Polaris CD was lost.
Thanks!

Here i found a pdf scan of that Billboard mag..
There's a reference of some guy named Sam Cammarata, but i can't find any picture of him
Thanks! Yes I found a great deal of info about him on Worldradiohistory, that's were I found in which issues there were pictures of him, very useful site (and google books as well). Their scans are not bad but the pics might be a little better if I could scan them in higher res

Hi fellows, the article will be published in Ugly Things #71, shipping in Avril!
A huge thanks to those who helped me here!

The story is pretty substantial and full of colorful characters such as a serial killer, a broke label owner, a nutty garage band, an exploitation filmmaker, a failed politician turned mobster, and even a famous boxer!
Loads of previously unseen pictures and news ads.

Sounds like a great story! I've got a piece to the next Ugly Things as well, a detailed interview with Danny Fields about his amazing multifaceted life and career. In addition to discovering the Stooges, MC5, and Ramones, he was involved with publishing the infamous John Lennon "The Beatles are bigger than Jesus" quote in the US, edited 16 magazine in the mid-70s, briefly tried to get Brian Epstein to manage the Velvet Underground (!) and much, much more. It includes a number of unseen photos of the Stooges, MC5, and Velvets performing in Ann Arbor along with some wonderful photos and ephemera that Danny himself supplied. Due out in just a few weeks! https://webstore.ugly-things.com/ugly-things-71-p547.php
