Listened to it today, and I must say that it is an amazing album, though I reacted on the kinda "low" and "lame" sound on it. It's not as "punchy" as for example Easter Everywhere. Is it any reason for it?

Are the re-releases of the album the same of have they "fixed" the problem? Seems that it feels like a shame that one can't enjoy it to the fullest.

Not sure I hear what you are saying but would agree that the vocals are way up front in the mix like they were going for more mamas and the papas style pop than than hard psych.... The drums are waaaaay in the background....

Gotta say that compared to the Elevators the mix is refreshingly clean and crisp though.... While lacking the loud mastering of a beatles record of the day, and favoring the vocals and guitars a bit much for our punch hungry ears 45 years on (favoring more lovin' spoonful than bubble puppy), pretty great listen on it's own terms...
