My Friends, again this year I am asking each of you to cast a vote for Tonto and the Renegades band and also we have 2 songs nominated which I would also appreciate your vote for induction. "Anytime You Want Some Lovin" and "The Easy Way Out". The voting process has been greatly improved and is now so easy to do. Please take a moment and go to the site listed below and and help us to finally get inducted along with our song "Little Boy Blue" which was inducted a few years back. Well, it seems we pick up right where we left off. How are you, my old friend? I was on the phone with Mike Dugo today discussing my new book & I asked what happened to the site where we used to meet and have a giggle no and then, and here we are. I hope all is well with you.

Yeah, my ol' friend; it's me. I was talking with Mike Dugo yesterday about my new book and I asked him about the site I used to visit. I told him I went to it one day and it was gone. He told me that, much like our music, it got resurrected here. He sent me a link & here I am. I've been looking around trying to get a feel for how it operates, so please excuse my tardy reply. Last year I had the year from hell. I was hospitalized 6 times after a stroke on March 15th. The hospitalizations were all due to injuries sustained from the collapse. I shattered my right wrist and I now have a titanium plate holding my hand to my wrist (Magneto and Titanium Man---I've always loved that song). After 7 months of therapy and the daily care provided by MJ (my wife) I can now report that the body is operating at 75%, but the brain is firing on all 8. Like I said, I just finished book 5 and I'm working on 6 and 7.

Please tell me how to vote for T & the R's for this prestigious honor. You look great (if that's you with the straw hat. Tell me where I can find all my old "buds" on this site. Where do most of them hang? For personal issues my new e-mail is [email protected]. I also have a website where info can be garnered about my books and musical career (gloucesterlostboy.com). My agent and publisher insist that the website is important so that my readers can follow what's out there and projects I have in the works.

Man, it's so great to find you again. Please e-mail me your e-mail address that I might add it to my address book. Please give me the skinny on the workings of this site and how best to find all those folks with whom I used to frequently converse before I went silent.

Our 2 nominated songs, "Anytime You Want Some Lovin' " and "The Easy Way Out" are both about 2 votes out of the Top Ten. As of this morning, at this very moment, Tonto and the Renegades are leading the voting for induction into the Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And, our 2 songs "The Easy Way Out" and "Anytime You Want Some Lovin' " are number 1 and 2 respectively. Thanks to those who have voted and encourage those who haven't to do so. The voting is open until the end of May, which seems like a long way away, so the vote count will change. We still need more votes to ensure our induction into the Hall.
 
We are still leading in votes for both the band and the songs. Thanks to all who have voted, and please do if you haven't. Although we're leading at the time, the voting goes until the end of the last day of May. We still need every single vote we can get. Be a part of getting us inducted into the MI R&R Hall of Fame.
 
1 month of voting is done. T&TR leads all voting in both categories. Our songs "The Easy Way Out" and "Anytime You Want Some Lovin" are tied on top with the next closest vote getter is 18 votes behind and is also a Dick Wagner (Frost) tune called "Rock And Roll Music". The band leads the nearest vote getter by 13. Now, if this only holds up through May, we will be inducted along with 3 of our recordings.
 
Thanks to everyone who took a moment out of their busy lives to vote for us. But, right now, we need FOUR votes to regain the lead. So, if you haven't yet voted, will you please be one of the 4 votes we need. Of course, 5 or six would be even better. Thanks for taking the time. We may never be in this position again ever and it would be a shame to be so close but unable to muster up four votes. Will you help?
 
WOOHOO - thanks to a few, we are now tied for first in the voting. SWo, still need more.
 
Well, Mojo, me too, but I'm about mto give up. We're back in second after a small burst of votes in first place in votes. Now, we're back down by 2, and I believe we have that largest vote total in the MI R&R Hall of Fame history. I can't swear to that, but believe it. This other band fro0m the late 80's, no recordings or touring just kepp piling on the votes. Not 1 person I have talked with have ever even heard of these guys. Thing is, the in D
etroit with a giantic population to draw from. Whereas, we're from a small farmong community west of Lansing. He ll, they have more people in one of the grade school classes than we had in our entire High School. How are we to compete with that? There just aren't enough people outside of the Detroit Tri-County area. Anyway, if anyone reading this has not voted, will you please give Tonto and the Renegades a fair shot at induction. We need 3 votes to reclaim the lead.
 
Man, do things change quickly on the voting. This morning we are now the top vote getter by 14 votes and both our songs lead on that side by 24 votes. Doesn't look like I have to worry about it for awhile. But, that other band surprises me all the time with the surge of votes they get. For an unknown, that's pretty remarkable.
 
Voting doesn't end until midnight on May 31st, Barry. Right T&TR are second in votes on the Hall of Fame vote, and number 2 and number 3 with the songs on the Legendary Songs vote. SWtill need more votes, though. So, have your friends take a minute and vote for us and the other required bands and songs votes.
 
Update, reminer, request. Currently we now in 3rd place in votes for the bands induction into the Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and our 2 songs "Anytime You Want Some Lovin' " and "The Easy Way Out" are numbers 4 and 5 respectively in votes on the Legendary Songs side of things. This message is to remind those who will vote but haven't yet, and a request to those who don't know about the vote and haven't yet voted. Please, Please do take a minute and have a say in who gets inducted. This voting is going to come down to the matter of a vote or two. We need every single vote we can get and your vote does count and may be the vote that puts us in. I'll never ask any of you guys to vote for us ever again. . . . . . We got inducted into the Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And, both sides of our 2nd 45 made it in as "Legendary Songs" by a Michigan Artist. YaHoo!!!!!!
